Playstyle
Warlocks deal damage from range using curses, damage-over-time effects, and powerful shadow or fire spells. Their gameplay focuses on consistency, positioning, and preparation rather than fast reactions, with demons providing additional damage and utility.
Strengths
Warlocks are among the strongest DPS classes in TBC, excelling in sustained single-target damage and AoE. They also bring unique group utility through curses, summons, Healthstones, and Soulstones, making them highly valuable in both PvE and PvP.
Weaknesses
Many Warlock builds have simple rotations with a relatively low skill ceiling. Soul Shard management can be tedious, and poor positioning or pet management can negatively impact performance.
Getting Started
Choose a specialization based on your goals: Affliction for sustained damage and PvP pressure, Demonology for demon-focused gameplay, or Destruction for raw damage output. Focus your talents and gear toward that role to perform effectively.
