Feral DPS Druid (PVP)
Cat Form melee DPS with strong bleed pressure and high skill expression.
Aldor vs Scryer
When you first reach Shattrath City at level 60 or higher, you are given a choice between two factions: The Aldor and the Scryers. This decision affects which rewards you can purchase, which quest lines you can pursue, and which faction strongholds you can access in Shadowmoon Valley. While it is possible to switch later, it is best to avoid making a haphazard choice. For Feral Druids in PvP, the choice between Aldor and Scryer has almost no measurable impact on performance. Nearly all faction rewards are PvE-oriented, leaving shoulder enchants as the only relevant long-term difference.
Before you choose
Here are the only things you need to know before picking a side.
Faction gear does not matter in PvP
Weapons, trinkets, and armor from Aldor or Scryer are PvE-focused and do not meaningfully impact Feral PvP.
Enchant difference is tiny
The difference between Aldor and Scryer shoulder enchants is extremely small and will not decide PvP outcomes.
Consistency over RNG
PvP favors predictable damage and pressure rather than relying on random critical strikes.
Execution matters more
Positioning, timing, crowd control, and energy management matter far more than faction choice.
Aldor vs Scryer
Side-by-side comparison of early highlights, pros, and cons.
Neither choice is permanent, but your early gearing experience can feel very different depending on which faction you choose
- Greater Inscription of Vengeance provides additional Attack Power
- Attack Power offers consistent damage and bleed scaling in PvP
- Slightly favors sustained pressure and reliable burst windows
- The advantage over Scryer is extremely small and difficult to notice in practice
- Provides no additional PvP-specific rewards beyond the enchant
- Greater Inscription of the Blade provides Critical Strike Rating
- Crit can occasionally improve burst damage in PvP
- Scryer reputation is often cheaper to level
- Critical Strike is less reliable than raw Attack Power in PvP
- Offers no long-term PvP advantages over Aldor
Recommendation for Feral DPS Druid PvP
We recommend choosing Aldor as a Feral DPS Druid for PvP in TBC Classic. - Greater Inscription of Vengeance provides slightly more consistent damage than Greater Inscription of the Blade. - Attack Power is generally more reliable than Critical Strike in PvP. The difference is extremely small, and Feral Druids will perform equally well regardless of faction choice.
