Enhancement Shaman (PVP)
Melee DPS with Windfury synergy and burst-heavy gameplay.
Gear & Stats
Enhancement PvP gearing is about surviving long enough to connect and land your burst. Resilience and Stamina come first because you are a common focus target and your kills often depend on getting a clean melee window. After survival, you want just enough Hit to make your special attacks reliable, then stack Expertise and raw damage stats to convert uptime into lethal Windfury swings. While PvP gear is the foundation, you can mix in strong PvE pieces for extra damage when your survivability is already comfortable. Arena weapons deserve special mention: they are among the best weapons available in the entire phase and are an excellent long-term goal for both PvP and PvE.

Stat Priority
Priority Order
Resilience → Stamina → Hit (to 5%) → Expertise → Strength → Agility → Attack Power → Crit Resilience and Stamina keep you alive long enough to create a melee window. After that, you stack the stats that make your connected hits matter and turn uptime into kills.
Resilience and Stamina
Resilience is a high priority for Enhancement because it reduces incoming burst damage, dot pressure, and the impact of mana burn style effects. As a melee, you are frequently trained, so leaning heavily on PvP gear is usually correct. Stamina is just as important. You want enough health to avoid getting deleted during stuns or swap attempts, especially when you are pushing forward to connect.
Hit Target
Aim for 5% Hit in PvP to reliably land your special attacks. Do not stack past this value unless you have a specific reason. Getting closer to 9% helps white swings, but it is far less important than staying alive and keeping your special attacks consistent.
Expertise
Expertise is very valuable in PvP because dodges can ruin kill windows. Getting expertise where you can is a real damage increase, especially into melee classes and slippery targets that force awkward positioning.
PvE Gear, Arena Weapons, and Weapon Speed
Using some PvE gear is fine once your resilience and stamina are solid. PvE items can add meaningful damage, but do not sacrifice too much survivability because you will be focused often. Arena weapons are among the best weapons available in Phase 1 and should be treated as a top priority upgrade. Weapon speed matters: use slow weapons, especially in the main hand, to increase Stormstrike impact and make Windfury hits more punishing when you finally connect.
