Talents

Restoration PvP talents in TBC revolve around how much pressure versus healing efficiency you want to bring. Resto Druids excel when combining instant HoT-based healing with strong crowd control and mobility. The builds below represent the three established PvP approaches used throughout TBC.

Build Selection

Recommended Default

The 13/11/37 Hybrid build is the default recommendation for most PvP situations. It offers the strongest balance of healing, control, mobility, and pressure, making it ideal for 2v2 and general play.

Healing-Heavy Compositions

Tree of Life builds are best used when your team requires sustained healing above all else, such as in 3v3 arena compositions where you are expected to spend most of the match healing.

Aggressive Playstyle

Restokin is a niche option that emphasizes offensive pressure through Moonkin Form. It is viable but situational and requires careful positioning and matchup awareness.

Resto PvP Hybrid 13/11/37

This is the most common and versatile Restoration PvP build, especially suited for 2v2 arena. It dips into Balance for Insect Swarm and into Feral for Feral Charge while retaining the majority of core Restoration healing talents. Because more than 20 points are spent outside Restoration, Tree of Life is not available without sacrificing either Insect Swarm or Feral Charge. This build excels in small brackets where flexibility, pressure, and interrupts matter more than raw healing throughput.

Tree of Life Restoration PvP

This deep Restoration build goes 41 points into the tree to unlock Tree of Life. It is more healing-focused and trades offensive pressure for stronger mana efficiency and sustained output. Due to point limitations, this build cannot reliably take both Insect Swarm and Feral Charge. It is most commonly used in 3v3 compositions where consistent healing is more valuable than added damage or disruption.

Restokin PvP Build

The Restokin build ventures deep into the Balance tree to acquire Moonkin Form while maintaining key Restoration talents. This allows for a more aggressive playstyle that mixes ranged pressure with healing. However, this build does not have access to Feral Charge, which is a significant drawback against caster-heavy teams. It is a situational build best suited for players who prefer a more offensive approach.

Talent Philosophy

Healing Core

Restoration PvP healing revolves around instant-cast HoTs and emergency cooldowns rather than long cast times. Talents that improve mana efficiency, survivability, and clutch saves define the spec.

Control Wins Games

Crowd control such as Cyclone, Entangling Roots, Bash, and Feral Charge is just as important as raw healing. Winning PvP encounters often depends on control timing rather than healing output alone.

Mobility and Disruption

Talents that enhance mobility and disruption allow Restoration Druids to survive pressure, avoid crowd control, and create kill opportunities through smart positioning.
