Arms Warrior (PVP)
PvP-first spec with Mortal Strike utility
Talents
This is the standard PvP Arms Warrior build for TBC. It performs well in 2v2, 3v3, 5v5, battlegrounds, duels, and open world PvP, prioritizing control, uptime, and consistent pressure through Mortal Strike and strong rage economy tools.
Build Overview
This is the main PvP talent setup for Arms Warriors, taking core abilities that enable sustained pressure and reliable control. The build is designed to function across all PvP formats while staying flexible depending on your weapon choice and team needs.
Why This Build Works
Mortal Strike is the centerpiece of Warrior PvP—its healing reduction is physical and cannot be dispelled, making it a gamechanger in Arena. The rest of the build supports your ability to stay active through long games by improving rage generation, stance swapping, and control access.
Key Talents
Mace Specialization
One of the strongest PvP talents in the Arms tree outside of Mortal Strike. The stun procs create kill windows and punish teams that try to kite or stabilize.
Endless Rage
Extremely valuable in PvP where high-Resilience targets reduce your rage flow. Helps keep pressure consistent and prevents dead globals.
Tactical Mastery
Enables fast stance swaps without losing all your rage. This is critical for plays like Disarm and Spell Reflection on demand.
Anger Management
Free passive rage over time. This adds up in long Arena games and supports an attrition playstyle when you’re being kited or controlled.
Weapon Specialization Note
While this version uses Mace Specialization, you should always take the specialization that matches your weapon. In Arena, maces are common due to the stun potential, but swords can be viable depending on your setup and available gear.
Alternative Variant
There is also a Sweeping Strikes PvP variant that picks up Weapon Mastery, reducing Disarm duration by 50%. This can see play in 3v3 where cleave opportunities are more common and Disarm reduction is especially valuable.
